Are Centauros exotic signals of the QGP?

The exotic cosmic ray events are reviewed. Theoretical attempts to explainthe Centauro-like phenomena are summarized. Results of accelerator experimentslooking for Centauro-related objects are discussed. The discussion is completedwith an overview of the current and future collider experiments at RHIC andLHC. In particular the CASTOR detector, dedicated to Centauro and strangeobjects research in heavy ion collisions at the LHC energies is presented.
